The Main Ministry of the Evangelical Alliance Church in the Holy Land was the Jerusalem Alliance Church located in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Alliance Church was the birth place for all what the Arab Evangelical Alliance Church does in the country.

The Church was established in Jerusalem long before Jerusalem was divided into two parts, east and west. It was located in what is now called West Jerusalem, at the Neveiem Street. Because of the 1948 occupation of the Land, Christians Arabs were not permitted to meet any more there, so they have to relocate in East Jerusalem. They found a place in the Old City, a small group of Old fellows who loved the Lord and prayed for growth and salvation of souls. In two years they had to move, so they found the building were we are now and began meetings in it since 1950. The church felt called to minister mainly to the Palestinian Arabs. All the church people are Palestinian Arabs who love the Lord and follow him in his righteous path.

The Church exist in the middle of the Old City, in the Christian Quarter. Yes, in the middle of the Old City of Jerusalem we exist to proclaim the salvation that Jesus have completed in Jerusalem. Somewhere on a hill close to our church, Jesus was lifted up lifting up the sins of the world. We exist to declare this declaration that Jesus' can lift the sins of the inhabitants of Jerusalem till now, he is the same yesterday, today and forever.

The Jerusalem Alliance Church has many struggles, yet the Lord is sustaining her as a light amidst the darkness in this city (Jerusalem). And Indeed the Lord used the church in several ways, in revival and outreached and also through a stretched hand of love to thousands of suffering Palestinians.

Rev. Jack Y. Sara (Link) is the senior pastor of the church and together with him there are several ministers, men and women of God who are willing to be used by Jesus for proclaiming his glory and the salvation of people.

The Jerusalem Alliance Church needs your prayers:

  • Pray for the ongoing expansion project at the church. (the church is going a major expansion project that makes it seat from 70 people to 140).
  • Pray for the leaders of the church, specially Pastor Jack and his wife, his assistant pastor Mazen and sister Shafika.
  • Pray for more doors to open in the Old City.
  • Pray for the ministries of the church, youth, children, women, men and couples.
  • Pray for courage to reach the unreached in the city, specially the majority population of the Old City.
