El Abram

Summer 2003 marked the conception of the official reorganization of Arab Alliance Ministries. The new official name of the Arab Alliance body of believers in Israel and Palestine is EACH – the Evangelical Alliance church of the Holy Land. EL ABRAM means, the high one who sees, with the idea of overseeing. EL ABRAM over sees all the ministries of the Alliance Church in the Holy Land.

EL ABRAM Exists to:

To serve, lead and equip the body of EACH to do the work that God has given them in every ministry for the glory of God.

The following are the various ministries that are represented by EACH:

  • Jerusalem Alliance Church shepherded by Jack Sara

  • New Alliance Church shepherded by Bassem Adranly

  • Internship Program directed by Roger Elbel

  • Church Planting Ministry supervised by Labib Madanat

  • The Redeemer’s Praise Team represented by Simon Rafeedi

  • The Alliance Leadership Training Institute (ALTI) overseen by Roger Elbel, Academic Dean

  • Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA) directed by Labib Madanat.

EACH and all of its ministries are overseen by the governing board, El Abram. The following are official members of El Abram: Rev. Jack Sara, Rev. Magdi Anwar, Mr. Labib Madanat, Mr. Bassem Adranly and Ms. Sufiqqa Hashweh. Ms. Ellen Elbel is a non-voting member serving as Executive Secretary. Her main responsibilities are to promote the agenda and desires of El Abram by providing the administrative needs of El Abram. The main responsibility of the govern board, El Abram, is to serve, lead and equip the body of EACH to do the work that God has given them in every ministry for the glory of God. A financial coordinator, Mr. Yousef Zeidan, and a secretary (yet to be approved) will help El Abram in supportive roles under the supervision of the Executive Secretary, Ms. Ellen Elbel.

El Abram meets regularly the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Any member of ministry committees who would like to attend this monthly meeting is welcome, but they should coordinate this in advance with Ellen Elbel. However the ministries listed above that are directly under El Abram will receive the regular monthly minutes.

EL ABRAM Will do the following to the ministries of the Evangelical Alliance Church in the Holy Land:

1. Providing Biblical teaching for Christian living.

2. Implementing Biblical discipline for correction and instruction.

3. Giving guidelines on financial issues

4. Appointing elders in the churches

5. Installing pastors in the churches

6. Representing EACH before the Jordanian Synod

7. Establishing the procedure for ordination and recommending people for ordination

8. Establishing (clarifying) doctrine and theology of the church

9. Defining rules and requirements for the established churches

10. Approving any governmental legal transactions

11. Approving any large financial transactions of purchasing, renovating, renting

12. Maintaining unity with any partners and the larger body of Christ

13. Following-up relationships with local church ministry with other ministries Please pray for wisdom and strength for the EL ABRAM as they are leading the ministries.
